Cancellations and refunds

  • ADO tickets are non-cancellable.

Exchanges

  • If your ticket is exchangeable, you may exchange your ticket 1 hour before the original departure time:
    - In person at the ADO counter, or via WhatApp at +52 1 55 4386 4652
  • If at the counter, you must already have printed your ticket. Only the passenger can ask to exchange their ticket, with their valid passport.
  • You MUST provide the ADO agent the following Busbud email: support@busbud.com 
  • If the new ticket price is higher than the original, you will have to pay the difference, which is not refundable.

Boarding requirements

  • You must show your ticket on your mobile device to board the bus.
  • Valid ID. Make sure you use the same ID you used when you booked your ticket.

Seat selection

  • You can select your seats on the checkout page.
  • This is optional, and you don't have to select a seat if you prefer not to.

Travelling with children

  • Children aged 5 and under can travel free if they are on the same seat as a paying adult (only 1 child per adult).
  • Children between 5-12 only pay 50% of the adult fare.
  • Children aged 13+ must pay an adult fare.
  • Children must travel with an adult aged 18 or over.

Luggage policy

Free allowance:

  • 1 carry on item is allowed. It must not weigh more than 5 kg (11lbs).
  • 1 bag allowed in the baggage hold. The maximum allowed weight is 23 kg (55.1lbs)
  • Extra: In case of exceeding it, the additional will be charged according to the current rate.

Pet policy

  • Pets can travel on ADO buses.
  • Your pet will have to travel with the luggage.
  • You must carry your pet's vaccination card, health certificate.
  • Please be ready to have your documentation checked throughout the journey.

Travelling with children

  • Newborns up yo 23 months old can sit on their parents lap for free.

  • 2 carry-on items. 
  • They must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

  • Alberta: Ebus buses are not adapted for people wishing to travel in a wheelchair. 
  • If you are travelling in Alberta and can walk 8 steps unassisted, your wheelchair can travel in the hold.

Cancellations and refunds

  • You can cancel your tickets directly with Flixbus.
  • If you cancel at least 30 days before the original scheduled departure time, you will be able to redeem 100% of the ticket as a voucher.
  • You may redeem your ticket as a voucher if you cancel at least 14 days before the original scheduled departure time. A fee of $3.00 CAD will apply.
  • You may redeem your ticket as a voucher if you cancel at least 3 days before the original scheduled departure time. A fee of $20.00 CAD will apply.
  • Booking fees are not refunded.
 

Exchanges

  • You can exchange your tickets directly with Flixbus
  • You may exchange your ticket date or time up to 1hr before the original scheduled departure time.
  • If the new ticket price is higher than the original, you will have to pay the difference, which is not refundable.

Boarding requirements

  • You must present your printed ticket or your ticket on a mobile device and photo identification matching all information provided during booking to board.
  • Valid ID. Make sure you use the same ID you used when you booked your ticket.

Travelling with children

  • Flixbus does not offer special prices for children.
  • If your child can sit on your lap instead of using a seat, and if under 2 (until their 2nd birthday), they may travel for free.

  • If you wish to have a seat for your kid, you can buy a regular ticket.

  • Flixbus recommends bringing your child's safety seat to keep your child safe during the ride.
  • Passengers are solely responsible for securing a child safety seat and shall not rely on assistance or advice from any company personnel. The company shall not be liable for any damages, including personal injury, due to the improper use or securement of a child safety seat. 

Luggage policy

Free allowance:

  • 1 carry on item is allowed. It must not weigh more than 11.3 kg (25 lbs). Note: Please carry your valuables (identification, electronics, etc.) with you in your carry-on bag.
  • 1 bag allowed in the baggage hold. The maximum allowed weight is 22.7 kg (50 lbs)

Extra:

  • You are allowed to bring excess baggage. The number of pieces allowed is subject to the baggage compartment capacity of the bus line operating the trip, and fees may be applied. For more information, please see the price list.
  • You are allowed to bring 1 bulky baggage per passenger.
  • You can bring 1 small instrument per passenger instead of your carry-on bag, free of charge.- For large instruments, as they are considered bulky baggage, you can bring 1 large instrument per passenger.
  • It's recommend bringing your instrument in a hard case to avoid potential damages. Since there is limited space for bulky baggage on the bus, Flixbus recommends booking your instrument as early as possible.
  • For bikes, you have the option to bring your bike on your trip with FlixBus. E-bikes are not allowed on buses. Learn more about the conditions for bicycle transport with Flixbus here.

How do I book excess baggage?

Special Note

There is limited space for excess baggage on the bus. We recommend booking your excess baggage as early as possible.

Flixbus strongly recommends clearly labelling all baggage with your name, address, and telephone number. If you need a baggage tag, you can download and print one here.

 

Pet policy

  • Flixbus does not transport animals on our buses, with the exception of service animals for persons with disabilities.

Accessible travel

  • Follow our instructions for travelling with a wheelchair here.
  • Contact Flixbus directly to arrange travel with a wheelchair.
  • For baby strollers, as they are considered bulky baggage, you can bring 1 stroller per passenger for free.

  • Children aged between 8 and 12 years can travel alone, however you will have to book directly with Galland.

There are two ways to board the bus:

Travelling with children

  • Children under 5 travel for free if they don't use a seat.
  • If children under 5 use a seat, they will have to pay the fare of a child aged 5-12.
  • Only one child can travel for free per adult.
  • Children aged 5-7 pay a reduced fare (40% discount).
  • Children aged 8-12 pay a reduced fare (40%) discount, only if they're travelling with an adult.
  • Children can travel alone, however you will have to book your ticket with Maheux.

Luggage policy

Free allowance:

  • 1 carry-on item. This must fit under the seat in front of you, or in the overhead compartment.
  • 2 items in the baggage hold. 
  • Each bag can weigh up to 34kg (75lbs)
  • The maximum size must not exceed 60cm x 60cm x 90cm.
  • You can purchase additional luggage for $10 per item.

  • Pets are not allowed to travel on Maheux buses.

  • Children between 2-12 receive a 25% discount.
  • Children aged 12+ will be charged the full adult price.
  • Passengers under the age of 8 cannot travel unaccompanied.
  • The only exception is in Illinois. If you're aged between 8-15 and travelling in Illinois, you can travel unaccompanied, but you'll have to book with Miller Hoosier.

Boarding requirements

  • You must print your own ticket before arriving to board the bus. 
  • You must board the bus with the same ID you used when booking your ticket.

You can check on your confirmation email to see what the boarding requirements are for your ticket.

Seat selection policy

  • There is no seat selection available for NY Trailways.
  • Seats are chosen on a first-come, first-serve selection when boarding.

Travelling with children

  • Children aged 17 and under cannot travel alone on a Busbud booking. Click here for more details.
  • Children between 2-15 years of age will receive a 25% discount, when travelling with a full fare paying adult.
  • Up to 2 children can travel at this redued rate, when they travel with a full fare paying adult.
  • You can purchase a ticket for a child aged 12-16 to travel alone. However, you must purchase an adult fare ticket, AT THE STATION. You cannot book online for an unacompanied adult. A parent or guardian must buy this ticket directly at the station.
  • There is a $5 fee for unaccompanied minor forms at the station.
  • If you purchase a ticket with NY Trailways for an unacompanied minor, please note that they will only be allowed to travel:
    • on trips between 07:00am - 08:00pm.
    • on trips no longer than 8 hours long (no bus changes allowed).
    • if a parent/guardian/custodian will be at the arrival station to meet them.
    • only on domestic routes. No international borders can be crossed.

Free allowance:

  • 1 carry on item, that much fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

Cancellations and refunds

Bookings with OurBus can be cancelled for OurBus Credits that can be redeemed for future travel on www.ourbus.com

  • Cancellations must be made at least 1 hour before scheduled departure time. 
  • Credits will be provided for the full ticket amount (Busbud fees and/or add-on items not included).
  • OurBus credits are valid for 5 years.

To cancel your booking and receive OurBus credits:

  1. Click the cancellation link on your OurBus provided ticket.
  2. Once cancelled, you will receive a wallet activation link by email. Click on this link and your OurBus Wallet will be activated with your credits for future booking on ourbus.com.
  3. To redeem these credits, visit www.ourbus.com/login and create a password for your OurBus account using the same email address used while purchasing your ticket on Busbud.

Exchanges

  • You can exchange your ticket up to 48 hours before the original departure time.
  • You can only change the departure time/date of your booking
