Megabus Canada & USA: How can I exchange my ticket?
Plans Changed? No Worries! You Can Change Your Megabus Booking
If you need to update your Megabus trip, you can easily change the departure time or date. Here’s how it works:
Exchange Fees:
- Up to 24 hours before departure: $3.00 fee
- Up to 6 hours before departure: $5.00 fee
- Up to 3 hours before departure: $7.50 fee
If the new ticket price is higher than the original, you'll need to pay the difference (note: this amount is non-refundable). Please remember, you can change the time or date, but route changes are not allowed.
How to Exchange Your Booking:

Select the link for your trip’s location:
- Megabus US (for trips within the US)
- Megabus Canada (for trips within Canada)
Ensure the country flag in the upper right corner matches your trip location.
2. Enter the following information from your ticket:
- Booking number
- Your last name or email address used for the booking
Tip: Double-check for spaces in your booking number, especially after dashes, to avoid errors.
3. Select the ticket by checking the checkbox, and click on “trade in selected tickets.” You can then make the changes you need!
