Rider Express – Cancellations, Refunds & Vouchers

Plans Changed? No Worries! You can cancel Your Rider Express Booking

Canceling 

  • If you cancel 24 hours or more before departure
    • Refund to your original payment method, minus a $10 CAD administrative fee per ticket.
      • Receive a refund to your original payment method (subject to bank processing times, up to 10 business days), or
      • Elect to receive the refund immediately as Busbud credits.

Example: If your ticket was $45 CAD, your refund would be $35 CAD.

 

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before departure (up to departure time)
    • You’ll receive a travel voucher for the full fare of your ticket.
    • The voucher is valid for 1 year and can be used toward a future Rider Express trip.

Tip: If your plans changed last minute, choosing a voucher lets you keep 100% of your fare as credit with Rider Express.

 

Rescheduling

  • First change is free (no fee) if you request it at least 24 hours before departure.
  • After a ticket has been rescheduled once, it can’t be rescheduled again or refunded.

 

How to cancel or request a voucher 

  • Log in to your Busbud account and go to My bookings.
  • Select your Rider Express trip and choose Cancel.
    • If you’re canceling 24+ hours before departure, we’ll process a refund minus $10 CAD to your original payment method.
    • If you’re canceling within 24 hours, we’ll issue a full‑fare travel voucher for Rider Express (valid 1 year).
