Why can I not use my Busbud Rewards credits?
Before you can redeem your Busbud Rewards credits, you’ll need to unlock them. Unlike Busbud Credits (which are available immediately after a refund), Rewards require a few trips to become active.
It’s simple! Just book and travel on 5 tickets using the Busbud app. Once you’ve completed those 5 trips, your accumulated rewards are automatically unlocked and ready to use as a discount on your next booking—no matter your membership level!
Common Reasons for "Missing" Rewards:
You are on the Website: Busbud Rewards can only be viewed and redeemed on the Busbud Mobile App (iOS or Android). If you are booking on busbud.com, your rewards will not appear at checkout.
Not Enough Tickets Yet: Check your progress in the "Profile" section of the app. If you have used fewer than 5 tickets, your balance is still "locking" and cannot be applied yet.
The Trip Isn't Over: Rewards are only "earned" once the trip is actually completed. If you have a future booking, those credits won't hit your balance until after you travel.
Wrong Email: Make sure you are logged in with the same email address you used for your previous 5 bookings.
Wait, I'm looking for my Refund Credits!
If you received credits from a Refund For Any Reason (RFAR) request or a customer service gesture, these are called Busbud Credits.
Busbud Credits do not have a 5-ticket requirement.
They are visible and usable on both the website and the app immediately.
