What happens if I have more credits than the ticket I'm buying?

If your balance is higher than the price of the ticket you want to book, the process depends on whether you are using Busbud Rewards or Busbud Credits.

 

For Busbud Rewards (App Exclusive)

If you have more Rewards credits in your account than the cost of the ticket:

  • Ticket Fare: Your credits will cover the full cost of the ticket fare.

  • Fees: You will still be charged for standard service fees and any add-ons (like travel protection).

  • Remaining Balance: The leftover credits will remain in your account.

  • Next Use: You will be able to redeem these remaining credits again after you complete your next five tickets.

 

For Busbud Credits (Website & App)

If you are using credits from a refund or Refund For Any Reason (RFAR):

  • Immediate Use: Your credits can cover the eligible fare instantly.

  • No Waiting Period: Unlike rewards, you do not need to wait for 5 tickets to use your remaining Busbud Credits balance again.

  • Platform: You can use the remaining balance on either the website or the app for your next purchase.
