What happens if the first leg of my journey is delayed?
If your Busbud booking includes two journeys within the same booking:
If the first leg of your trip is delayed, causing you to miss the second leg of your journey, contact a member of the bus company immediately to be rescheduled on the next available departure. You can contact the bus company directly here.
You can also go directly to the ticket desk when you arrive at the station and explain that your first trip was delayed, causing you to miss your connecting trip. The Bus Company staff will assist you with rescheduling you onto the next available trip.
Please note: Due to COVID-19, smaller ticket desks may not always be open. If this is the case, you should call the bus company if possible, or try explaining to the driver that your trip was delayed and ask to travel on the next available trip.
If you booked two separate trips with different bus companies
If you have two separate bookings with different bus companies and your first trip is delayed, causing you to miss your next trip, you may not be able to be rescheduled on a later service. If you have to book two separate trips and you miss your second trip, please note that any decision to allow you to travel on a later service will be entirely at the discretion of the operating Bus Company.
We don't recommend booking separate tickets as part of a connecting trip if possible. If you have to book separate trips, we suggest leaving plenty of time to transfer and allow for delays.
