What happens if the first leg of my journey is delayed?
Handling Missed Connections
If your Busbud booking includes two journeys with the same bus company and the first leg of your trip is delayed, causing you to miss the second leg, you can contact the bus company to be rescheduled on the next available departure. You can find the bus company's contact details in your confirmation email.
For Separate Bookings:
If you booked two separate trips with different bus companies and your first trip is delayed, causing you to miss your next trip, rescheduling may not be possible. Any decision to allow you to travel on a later service will be entirely at the discretion of the bus company operating the second leg of your journey.
Additional Tips:
- Avoid Separate Tickets: We recommend avoiding booking separate tickets for connecting trips when possible. If you must book separate trips, try to allow plenty of time between them to accommodate potential delays.
- Check Transfer Times: Ensure that you have sufficient time for transfers, considering possible delays and the time needed to switch between different bus services or terminals.
- Keep Documentation: Retain all relevant documentation and communication with the bus company, as this may be required when seeking rescheduling or making claims.
By planning ahead and allowing extra time for connections, you can minimize the risk of missing subsequent trips and ensure a smoother travel experience.
