What happens if the first leg of my journey is delayed?

In this sectionI lost my luggage, how can I recover it? Travel Grants and Medical exemptionsWhat happens if the first leg of my journey is delayed?Where is my bus? What is my luggage allowance? Can I take an earlier bus if my ticket is non-exchangeable?Can I board the bus at a different location than the one stated on my booking?I missed my bus/train, can I take the next one? Will I receive food on the bus? When should I arrive at my departure point?

If your Busbud booking includes two journeys with the same bus company, and the first leg of your trip is delayed causing you to miss the second leg of your journey, you may contact the bus company to be rescheduled on the next available departure. You can find the bus company's contact details in your confirmation email.

If you booked two separate trips with different bus companies, and your first trip is delayed causing you to miss your next trip, you may not be able to be rescheduled on a later service. Any decision to allow you to travel on a later service will be entirely at the discretion of the bus company operating the trip.

We don't recommend booking separate tickets as part of a connecting trip if possible. If you have to book separate trips, we suggest leaving plenty of time to transfer to allow for delays.
