It all depends on the ticket type you selected while making your reservation. This is also visible before making a purchase.
After selecting a departure, you will be shown the ticket type on the checkout page.
Sometimes, only one ticket type is available, other times you will have a more than one ticket type to chose from. Here’s an example of ticket types you could see on Busbud:
You will also find information on whether or not you need to print your ticket on your confirmation email, and sometimes, the ticket itself.
Types of tickets on Busbud:
Pick Up at the Station: You will receive one or more reference numbers by email. You must present the number(s) at the bus company counter at the station to receive your tickets. Valid photo identification will be required for boarding.
Print Your Tickets: You will receive one or more tickets by email. You must print the ticket(s) before arriving at the station. Without printed tickets in hand, you may be refused boarding.
Present Your E-Ticket to board: You will receive your ticket(s) electronically. You can present your ticket(s) to the bus driver on your mobile device. You may also print your ticket(s) but printing is not required.
Print Voucher at Home: You will receive one or more vouchers by email. You must print the voucher(s) before arriving at the station and exchange them to get your tickets. Without printed vouchers in hand, you may not be able to pick up your tickets.
