If you're able and willing to board the bus yourself, sit in a bus seat and have your wheelchair or mobility device stored in the baggage hold, there's no need to use the wheelchair booking feature. You may simply buy any bus ticket. You can use your mobility device to reach the door of the bus, where you'll need to get onboard the bus without it and the bus driver will stow your mobility device in the baggage hold.
How do I ride the bus in my wheelchair?
If you need to be in your wheelchair throughout your trip, some bus companies will support this booking through Busbud. You can find this option in the passenger selection field when searching.
If you plan to ride the bus in your wheelchair, you need to book these specific tickets so the bus company can ensure that a wheelchair accessible bus is dispatched and that there is enough space since the areas to secure wheelchairs often take up more than one standard seat.
What if Busbud doesn't let me travel in my wheelchair?
If the bus company doesn't support online bookings for wheelchairs, we suggest that you contact the bus company directly as they may support your booking over the phone. If you're having troubles getting in contact with them, please let us know and we'll assist you.
